Coos Bay Times, 3/30/1948, front page Caption reads: "Dense clouds of smoke rising from the paint spray room of the Bay Motors body shop on South Broadway at 10 a.m. today provided a spectacular spirit for a large crowd that gathered quickly after the fire broke out. The flames are said to have started from an exploding oil stove. Damage was confined by the Coos Bay fire department to the spray room and a damaged wall of an apartment adjoining to the north." |
