This is a black and white photo of the Chandler Hotel in Coos Bay, Oregon. Writing at the bottom of the photo reads, "16-334 Chandler Hotel - Coos Bay, Ore" "Sawyers". Chandler Hotel Per document titled "City of Coos Bay List of Historically Significant and National Register Properties": Built in 1909 150 South 2nd Street (also 187 West Central Avenue) Map & Tax Lot #: 26CD/4700 Listed on National Register 06/14/1984 The hotel has five stories and is at the corner of Central Ave and 2nd. A fire escape goes down one side of the building, above the main entrance, which is covered by an awning. A fire hydrant is on the sidewalk at the intersection, next to a telephone/power pole with a sign on it that reads, "No Reverse Turns". A lamppost is on the other side of the street, with a sign on it that reads, "One Hour Parking from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M." Vehicles are parked on either side of the asphalt roads, and a group of people is in front of a window on the first floor of the Chandler.
