Description |
Crazy quilt made of pant and shirt fabrics. Multicolor and multipattern. Backing is white flannel with lavender flowers. Each patch has a different embroidered design, lazy daisy, feather stitch, herring bone, leaf, wheat, floral, or geometric. Back is handstitched and made of one big piece and three small pieces. Partial length of muslin backing with rod sleeve extending 2.5" at top of quilt. Made by Mrs. Eickworth when she was 19 years old, ca. 1894. She used it on the crib for all seven of her children. |
